50-year farm bill

Wendell Berry and Wes Jackson had an Op-Ed piece in the New York Times this weekend. In it they make a call for new farm policy that promotes sustainable farming practices that nurture and project soil – a resource that is far more valuable to our future than oil. What is it going to take to get our government to start supporting the healthier choices that consumers are just increasingly beginning to make?
